Teaching Philosophy
The 80/20 Principle
Focus on the 20% of content that produces 80% of understanding. Go deep on five things rather than shallow on fifty. Skills compound; coverage doesn't.
Phenomenon First, Formalize Later
Students need to see before they understand. Lead with the weird, the counterintuitive, the thing that doesn't fit their mental model. Create the gap, then help close it.
Structure Does the Work
Well-designed materials reduce the need for verbal instruction, enable productive work time, and free the teacher to observe, circulate, and ask questions rather than perform.
What This Site Is For
Quick skill practice with immediate feedback
Confidence building through repetition of core calculations
Concept reinforcement through interactive guided problems
Self-paced review before tests and quizzes
What This Site Is NOT
This site does not replace pencil-and-paper problem solving.
Physics requires derivation skills, free-body diagrams, algebraic manipulation, and extended written explanations. These skills must be practiced on paper. The online problems here are meant to complement that work by providing quick feedback on numerical calculations and conceptual understanding.

Phab Physics collects the minimum data needed to track your practice progress.
Account info: If you sign in with Google, your email and name are managed by Firebase Authentication. Your email is not copied into class membership records or progress data. Your profile picture is fetched from Google for display but is not stored.
Practice progress: We store how many problems you've solved at each difficulty level, the number of attempts, and when you last practiced. We do not store your individual answers or submissions.
No tracking: This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking services.
No data sharing: Your information is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Guest mode: You can practice without signing in. Guest progress is stored only in your browser and is not sent to any server.
Teacher access: If you join a class, your teacher can see your overall practice progress (problem counts and last activity), plus student names/emails for students in their own classes. Teachers cannot see other teachers' students, and they cannot see your individual answers.
